WE ARE MOSTLY CLOUDY TO OVERCAST ON ACTION CAM AND IT’S A HUMID ONE. 81 IS THE CURRENT TEMPERATURE AT THE AIRPORT. DEW POINTS AT 69. SO IT FEELS LIKE IT IS 84 DEGREES OUTSIDE. AND IT’S GOING TO BE A MUGGY AFTERNOON. WE’RE ON TRACK TO MAKE IT TO THE UPPER 80S FOR A HIGH TEMPERATURE TODAY, AND THEN AFTER ABOUT SIX 7:00, WE’LL WATCH FOR A STORM CHANCE AND WON’T BE WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER, BUT A STRONG STORM OR TWO IS POSSIBLE. AND BECAUSE OF THAT, TODAY IS THE SEVERE WEATHER ALERT DAY. SO AGAIN, PLENTY OF CLOUDS THERE ARE SOME BREAKS IN THE CLOUDS THOUGH, AROUND WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA. THIS IS ALL IN ADVANCE OF OUR SYSTEM. THAT’S BACK TO OUR WEST, BRINGING RAIN AND SEVERE WEATHER INTO PORTIONS OF THE LOWER OHIO RIVER VALLEY. THAT’S ALL MARCHING IN OUR DIRECTION AGAIN. WE’LL BE ARRIVING AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE EVENING. SO FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS, ONLY A QUICK PASSING SHOWER AT WORST. AFTER ABOUT FIVE 6:00. AGAIN, WE’LL WATCH FOR THUNDERSTORMS. THEY’LL LAST UNTIL ABOUT 11:00 OR SO, AND AGAIN, JUST BECAUSE IT’S A THUNDERSTORM DOESN’T MEAN IT WILL BE SEVERE TONIGHT. BUT THERE IS A CHANCE OF A STRONGER STORM, DAMAGING WIND AND HEAVY RAIN. OUR PRIMARY CONCERNS, OUR SEVERE THREAT ENDS AT ABOUT 11:00. RAIN CLEARS OUT OVERNIGHT, AND THEN WE’LL ACTUALLY SEE LOTS OF SUNSHINE THROUGH THE DAY TOMORROW. AND WE WILL START DROPPING THE HUMIDITY AS WE HEAD THROUGH TOMORROW AND INTO YOUR SUNDAY 87 TODAY. AGAIN, SEVERE WEATHER ALERT DAY STORMS THIS EVENING. ISOLATED SHOWERS POSSIBLE BEFORE THAT. WE’LL DROP TO 70 TONIGHT AGAIN. THOSE STORMS WILL EXIT EARLY. RAIN CLEARS OUT AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT AND CLOUDS WILL BEGIN CLEARING AS WELL. THAT SETS THE STAGE ACTUALLY FOR A PRETTY NICE WEEKEND AHEAD FOR US 85 ON SATURDAY. THERE’S THE LOWER HUMIDITY. SUNDAY AT 63 FOR OUR START TEMPERATURE. WE WILL FINISH THOUGH AT 88 LOW 90S ON MONDAY. TUESDAY IS AN IMPACT DAY AS OUR NEXT SYSTEM GETS HERE. RIGHT NOW IT LOOKS LIKE RAIN SHOWERS FOR THE SECOND HALF OF YOUR TUESDAY, AND THEN WE’LL STAY SEASONAL AS W

Pittsburgh’s Action Weather meteorologist Brian Hutton Jr. said Friday is a Severe Weather Alert Day in Pittsburgh. In the Certified Most Accurate Forecast, Hutton said that this is due to late-day thunderstorms that are in the forecast.Isolated showers are also expected on Friday. After dinner, we will be watching a line of storms that is to our southwest arriving. That may help kick off some stronger storms this evening. The main concern from any storms that develop this evening will be damaging winds and flash flooding. There is a chance that storms will struggle to develop later today, so widespread severe weather is unlikely, but like late Thursday, a storm or two could get strong enough to cause problems.According to Hutton, things will clear up for the rest of the weekend with partly cloudy to sunny conditions on Saturday and Sunday. Our next system arrives on Tuesday, right now in the second half of the day, to bring rain showers and perhaps a couple of storms. Rain looks to get here in time for the evening commute.
